What do Disciples Believe?

- Open Communion ~ all who believe in Jesus Christ are welcomed to the table and communion is celebrated every time we gather to worship.

- Freedom of Belief ~ we hold to only one essential belief: Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God and our Lord and Savior. Everything else is discussed, debated and discovered in the Bible, through the Holy Spirit, and through prayer. Although we honor church tradition and history, we do not allow tradition to dictate doctrine. We have no creed but Christ.

- Priesthood of the Believers ~ both minister and lay person are called and equipped to lead worship, minister to the needs of church members and the community, and are gifted to teach, preach, and share their faith.

- The Oneness of the Church ~ all Christians, from all denominations are called to be one body and work together in one Spirit to the glory of God.
|
- Baptism by Immersion ~ is our practice. Believers baptism requires a person to be old enough to begin a new life and place their faith in Jesus Christ. But we honor and accept all other baptism traditions.
