| Celebrating our Nation's History
On June 5, FCC Lewisville celebrated Freedom Sunday with a star spangled, red-white-and blue worship service. Members came to church decked out in their patriotic finest to celebrate our nation's freedom and to honor the men and women who fought for our right to celebrate. Special guests for the service included some significant characters from America's rich history including George Washington (aka Howard), Thomas Jefferson (John), Abraham Lincoln (Doug), Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. (Derek), John Winthrop (Brian), and Lucretia Mott (Sharon). We were honored to remember these true patriots and to celebrate our heritage as a nation of freedom and our call as the people of God to hold forth the highest ideals of our faith and our freedom.
